Marc Lamontagne is a freelance, Long Beach based performer. He ranges from doing Live Theater, On-Camera work, Background work, VoiceOver, as well as being an avid Dungeons and Dragons player. In addition to acting, he works as a Spotlight Operator at Musical Theater West.

Marc got his start acting at the Vermont Children’s Theater in Lyndonville Vermont. Inspired by his older brother, he started performing at the age of 6 and… didn’t really like it at first. Eventually he found his love for acting primarily through music, and began to appreciate all aspects of theater and film. When Marc and his brothers were younger, they were heavily inspired by old cartoons, Jim Henson, and the Lord of the Rings. This shaped Marc’s creativity, comedic timing, and love for storytelling.

Through high school, Marc played Trombone (along with other brass instruments) in St. Johnsbury Academy’s band and Jazz band, as well as in Vermont District and All-State Festivals, and he also played with the Swing North Big Band. He also opened for Bobby McFerrin with the Vermont All-State Jazz Band in 2019. Marc also has sung with St. Johnsbury Academy’s Hilltones and Chorus for all 4 years, and has sung with the North Country Chorus, and performed a solo concert with the NEK Community Orchestra.

After graduating from the St. Johnsbury Academy in 2020, the raging pandemic forced Marc to take a gap year, as there weren’t many options for performance. In late 2021, Marc moved in with his Aunt and Uncle in Long Beach, and begun to make connections, work in technical theater, and take classes and apply for auditions to help further his career in the Arts.

Most importantly to Marc (and probably his most proud achievement), is in 2018 he started a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with his summer theater friends, and has continued to play the same campaign and character ever since.
